On October 20, 1977, the band’s chartered plane crashed in a wooded area in the State of Mississippi. After the success of their first album, the band would release four more studio albums and one double live album up to the year 1977. The brilliant producer was also credited as discovering Lynyrd Skynyrd at a show at Funocchio’s in Atlanta, Georgia in the early nineteen seventies.
